Tips and Fine Tuning, Firefox and its extension

Firebird, Phoenix or Firefox , all are same. firefox browser is one of the buzz word in the todays web.Usage of firefox increased due to lot of reasons like free software,implementation of XUL,personalized with the help of Extension,tab browsing and so on...

I put here few tips to enjoy the firefox features.unlike other browser,firefox takes the help of XUL for customised configuration.

about:config

you might noticed even in IE, about:about in the address bar. "about:" is internal URL scheme used in the all the broswer.for example in IE, if u type about:Hello in the address bar, it 'll
display hello in the IE.[Try this easter egg in IE, type about:mozilla in case if ur box is XP SP2 try this "res://mshtml.dll/about.moz"]... in firefox there are

out of all in the above list, our consent is about about:config, this 'll give all the configurable parameters used in the firefox. you can also edit the same at user.js.i have listed out few usefull parameters which are self explainatory.

Extension and Plugins

Best part of the firefox is extension,yeah.. even u can change others webpage according to ur comforts and wish. try out Grease monkey extension. there are hell lots of extension available.still i'll rank fasterfox is the best amid the all.it 'll take care of all the above parameter for fine tuning ur browser,then in the generalised catagory tab mix plus will come second.Both are generic and useful to all. lots of other extensions which have their specific usage depends on the user.

one more thing every one knows is that firefox eats lots of memory.Adding more extension may also eat memory and its sure that it will impact ur connection speed so its advisable not to install unwanted extensions.

.oOPS, i forgot! Does any of u know why there is a dellay counter in the install/download buttons ? it seems like a security patch which avoids erroneous installation of malicious code which may happen by mistakingly hitting on "enter" or "space bar". :P
